Marsha Sorenson, O.D.
Marsha Sorenson, O.D. is a Doctor of Optometry. She obtained her doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry, which was followed by a Vision Therapy residency at SUNY in New York. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a fellow of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development.
Dr. Sorenson is experienced in vision rehabilitation, and has expertise to help patients who have dizziness combined with visual problems (visual vertigo). These might include double vision, blurred vision, intolerance to bright light or complicated visual inputs such as "grocery stores" (visual dependence), problems driving at certain speeds or visual situations, or close work such as using computers. Dr. Sorenson also has experience in treating post-concussion vision syndrome.
Dr. Sorenson sees patients at CDH on Mondays.
Persons who have a visual vertigo evaluation by Dr. Sorenson will also be given an updated prescription for glasses (if appropriate). CDH does not make or sell spectacles, but the prescription can be taken to a frame/glasses store-- there are 3 of these establishments within a block radius of CDH.
