Job Opening for Vestibular Physical Therapist.
Posted: 12/21/2018, updated 1/9/2019
Chicago Dizziness and Hearing (CDH) is seeking to recruit one or two part-time physical therapists, for vestibular rehabilitation. One of our physical therapists is moving to another job, and we are seeking to fill this position.
CDH is a multispecialty group composed of two physicians specializing in otoneurology, two doctoral level physical therapists, an audiologist, an visual vertigo specialist (optometrist), and supporting staff, several of which also have doctoral degrees. Our practice model is collaborative: we work as a team to care for patients. More information about CDH can be found on this website (http://dizzy-doctor.com)
The physical therapist will be expected to see both new and return patients, needing vestibular rehabilitation. All patients seen by the physical therapist, will also see one of the physicians, and most will also have undergone a full vestibular evaluation by our audiology staff. The majority of patients referred to vestibular physical therapy have BPPV or a well defined vestibulopathy. CDH has many “legacy” patients who return periodically for treatment of recurrent BPPV.
An ideal candidate will have their DPT degree, will be certified in vestibular rehabilitation, and had had some experience in vestibular rehabilitation. Training and mentoring will be provided by other providers in the practice as necessary. We encourage all of our providers to be intellectually active and we support research activities as well as training opportunities.
Our office is on Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago near Northwestern Memorial hospital, and most of our employees take the train or other public transportation.
Compensation for this position is competitive for the Chicago area. It consists of a base rate plus an incentive tied to productivity. We are an equal opportunity employer.
