Directions and Parking

CDH is located in downtown Chicago, one block west and just south of Northwestern Memorial Hospital. The address for your GPS is 645 N. Michigan, Suite 410, Chicago IL, 60611

Although the address of the clinic is on Michigan avenue, the entrance of the clinic is on Erie street, just east of Michigan avenue.

We are adjacent to the TGIF restaurant in the 300 block of Erie, and across the street from the Corner Bakery at St. Clair and Erie.

If you are not still not sure, call 312-274-0197 (our front desk), and they can help.

Driving directions and parking

We provide parking validation cards for two Northwestern lots. One is attached to the Northwestern Memorial Hospital and is between Superior and Huron (222 E Huron). The other is at 321 E Erie. These are on the hotel map below, as "P". Parking is $11 if less than 4hrs with the validation. After that it is $4 for each additional hour.

Valet parking is available for roughly $12/day (in front of TGIF restaurant, right in front of the clinic), from about 10AM on. We are not affiliated with this parking service, and this is at your own risk.

If you are unsteady, the best strategy is to either use the Valet, or have someone drop you off at the lobby of the Michigan/Erie entrance of our clinic (645 N. Michigan Avenue, but actually on Erie), have the person who drives you park in the Northwestern Memorial Hospital parking lot (222 E Huron). Note that Erie is a one-way street going east that is entered from the Michigan Avenue side. A printable set of driving directions in a PDF form is here.

Public transportation
Chicago has a very extensive public transportation grid that provides reasonably good (i.e. within 1 hour) accessibility to downtown from nearly anywhere within about 10 miles radius. We strongly advise taking the train during the summer as downtown Chicago is congested. The train is terrific, and the train stations are all within a short (i.e. $6.00 or so) cab ride away. If you do not mind walking, the Metra station that services South Chicago (Millennium Park) is only 6 blocks away, and in a beautiful and safe part of Chicago. From the North, there are trains that go to Union Station (from where you can take a cab to CDH). If you take the CTA trains, the Randolph Lake exit is the best, as it is just 2 blocks from Michigan and Millennium Park. If you take the CTA bus, you can get off within a block (ie., taking the one that goes up Michigan, and get off on Erie)

From close to downtown
The bus is extremely convenient to our office! If you take a CTA bus, you can get off just a few steps away (i.e., taking the one that goes up Michigan, and getting off on Erie). Bus tickets are only about $2.

From the South (e.g. Indiana)
The Metra train is wonderful. The Metra station that services South Chicago (Millennium Park) is only 6 blocks away, and in a beautiful and safe part of Chicago. From Midway airport, one can take the "CTA" train to downtown, and then walk, bus or taxi, to our address.

From the North, including O'Hare airport
There are CTA trains that go to Union Station (from where you can take a cab to get to CDH). If you take the CTA trains, the Randolph Lake exit is the best, as it is just 2 blocks from Michigan and Millennium Park.

From the far West
CTA train (and sometimes Amtrack or Metra) is again the best.

What's nearby CDH?
Within close proximity to our clinic is the Magnificent Mile with its wide and often beautifully adorned sidewalks, big name stores, restaurants, art museums and architectural landmarks (John Hancock Center, Water Tower Place, Tribune Tower, the Apple store, Nike, etc). On Michigan, we are across the street from Crate/Barrell to the west and Garmin to the north. . For more information about hotels and restaurants near the clinic, go to this page.
